2001 ZOOM, Tokyo

The company which makes an engine of a car has this space. This area " Shibuya " is very famous traffic jam area in Tokyo. That theme of my art is "Easing traffic jam" at that time.
I made about 2000 pieces of miniature cars. Then actually, I did performance by hand-made device. I made and destroyed mountains of cars. If audiences hope, they ask gallery staff and can experience the performance by themselves. They can climb up and down.
